Children’s Grief Awareness Day 11/21/24
This year Children’s Grief Awareness Day will be observed on Thursday, November 21, 2024. This day provides us the opportunity to recognize and support the millions of grieving children across the nation- the thousands of grieving children in our own communities- and the grieving children we know and see in our daily lives. Healing House-Hope for Grieving Children welcomes the community to attend their Open House at their facility, Randon’s Place at Healing House, located at 160 South Beadle Road in Lafayette on Thursday, November 21 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
Healing House staff will be on hand to answer any questions about services, provide needed resources, and educate guests on the structure of the agency’s grief support group programs and community outreach. Following the open house, at 1:30pm Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet will present Healing House with a Proclamation stating November 21st is declared Children’s Grief Awareness Day in Lafayette, LA. The Proclamation from Mayor President Boulet will raise awareness about the importance of supporting grieving children in our community.
