2018-2019 Annual EEO Public File Report
The Purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s EEO Rule. This report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s): KAJN-FM, Crowley, Louisiana; KAJN-CD, Lafayette, Louisiana; KAGN-CD, Crowley, Louisiana; KFAM-CD, Lake Charles, Louisiana; and K02QB, Alexandria, Louisiana, and is required to be placed in the public inspection file of those stations, and posted on their websites, if they have websites.
The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning February 1, 2018 – January 31, 2019 (the “Applicable Period”).
The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this report contain the following information:
- A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;
- For each vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if
Applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(1)(ii) of the EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number;
- The recruitment source that referred the hire for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;
- Data reflecting the total number of person interviewed for full-time vacancies

Appendices 1, 2, and 3 have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required Information. For purpose of the Report, a vacancy was deemed “filled” not when the offer was extended, but when the hiree accepted the job offer. A person was deemed “interviewed” whether he or she was interviewed in person or over the telephone.

Section 3: Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken
- Scholarship: In association with the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, the Stations offer college scholarships each year to Louisiana students that are interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting.
- Career Fair, McNeese State University: On March 7, 2018, Licensee’s Vice President, David Thompson, attended this Career Fair, which is open to all students and graduates of the University. The Stations made available information about careers in broadcasting, including entry level opportunities and received many inquiries and expressions of interest. Several attendees took business cards with contact information for further engagement.
- Career Fair, South Louisiana Community College: On April 18, 2018, Licensee’s Vice President, David Thompson, attended this Career Fair, which is open to all students and graduates of the College. The Stations made available information about careers in broadcasting, including entry level opportunities and received many inquiries and expressions of interest.
- Career Fair, McNeese State University: On September 19, 2018, Licensee’s Vice President, David Thompson, attended this Career Fair, which is open to all students and graduates of the University. The Stations made available information about careers in broadcasting, including entry level opportunities and received many inquiries and expressions of interest. Several attendees took business cards with contact information for further engagement.
- Diversity Job Fair, Louisiana Workforce Commission Acadiana: On October 9, 2018, Licensee’s Vice President, David Thompson, attended this Job Fair, which is open to the public and emphasizes diversity in the workforce. The Stations made available information about careers in broadcasting, including entry level opportunities. The event was well-attended by businesses and prospective employees. Several participants visited the Stations’ table without resumes and were offered business cards and were directed to the Stations’ website.
- Career Fair, South Louisiana Community College: On November 14, 2018, Licensee’s Vice President, David Thompson, attended this Career Fair, which is open to all students and graduates of the University. The Stations made available information about careers in broadcasting, including entry level opportunities and received many inquiries and expressions of interest. Several attendees inquired about employment opportunities, and attendees took business cards and were directed to the Stations’ website.
