George Mhondera
Originally from Zimbabwe, Africa I’ve been involved in the Music Industry for over 20 years. I began my career in South Africa as part of two-time Dove award winning band, MIC. I later relocated to the U.K. to join the World Wide Message Tribe where I had the privilege of seeing music and outreach working together hand in hand.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve had the honor to write, lead worship, and tour with Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Passion, Christy Nockels and many more amazing artists. I have a passion to write songs that connect with people both inside and outside the walls of the church, and love to champion and mentor young artists.
I’m excited to bring to you my brand new single ‘Not Even Once’ due for release on February 10, 2023.
I wrote this song as I was reminded of God’s kindness and faithfulness throughout my life. As a kid growing up in Zimbabwe, I would look up at the stars in the African night sky full of wonder. I watched the planes go by, dreaming the impossible, hoping that one day I would see the world, and become a singer songwriter who would serve the one who loved me and saved my soul, Jesus. Every step and every turn of my journey has been a miracle. Now, having lived on 3 continents I think back to when the Lord called me, and how he has led me, protected me, provided for me and brought me so far through many highs and lows. Never once has he left my side or failed me! He has done more than I could have ever dreamt or imagined. The Lord is so rich in love, full of grace and mercy, ever faithful. Hallelujah.
