Selective Service – tfn

To all young men: if you’re turning 18, you must register with Selective Service within 30 days of your 18th birthday. It’s the law. Failure to do so will prevent you from being eligible for student aid, civil service jobs, receiving federal job training or even obtaining a driver’s license in most states. To register, visit your local post office, talk to your guidance counselor, or visit sss.gov. While there is no draft and Selective Service is not the military, registering is the responsible thing to do as a U.S.A. resident. Don’t jeopardize your future. Visit sss.gov.
