Kari Jobe

Kari Jobe released her self-titled debut album back in February 2009 and captivated people immediately with her heart for worship. Her rendition of “Revelation Song” made her an instant favorite worldwide and helped her earn 2 Dove Awards. For nearly two decades, well-respected worship leader Kari Jobe has been using her gifts to lead people into the presence of God. When she began leading worship at age 13, she never imagined she would be nominated for a GRAMMY®, win multiple Dove Awards, have a RIAA Gold Certified single or be praised by the New York Times. Being the daughter of a minister, Kari was surrounded by worship music for as long as she can remember, “I grew up in a Christian home, my family ministered a lot at local Churches,” she says. “I grew up in a ministry culture where people connected to God through music and through the Word.” “My heart for worship is my life, my passion, it’s what I love more than anything in the world,” says Kari. “And to me it’s not about music and it’s not about just writing songs, but it’s about connecting people to the heart of God and to the presence of God.”

Kari’s song “Steady My Heart” is an encouragement for anyone going through struggles in life, and a reminder that God is a refuge through the storms of life. It was a follow up to her single “We Are;” an organic and extremely heartfelt song about letting your light shine for Christ. “I’m called to impact other people and shine a light, just by living life.” “You don’t have to do anything extra special, you just be filled with the Spirit of God.” Both songs are part of her album Where I Find You (released in January 2012) which paired Jobe with accomplished producer Ed Cash- who has worked with the likes of Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman and Dave Barnes. The album received raved reviews and debuted at No. 1 and No. 10 on Billboard’s National Christian and Gospel and Top 200 charts.

Originally from Texas and now residing in Nashville, she tours the country with her husband Cody Carnes and their two boys, Canyon and Kingston, and they both serve at their home church The Belonging Co.
